Our philosophy
Arrow Animal Hospital is a local, family-owned general animal hospital that has served San Dimas-area pet families since 1970. The team cares for dogs and cats through wellness visits, illness, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and the everyday questions that come with being responsible for a pet.
Dr. Patel brings more than four decades of veterinary experience, and Dr. Lewis is establishing his career in the community where he grew up. Together, they keep the conversation practical, respectful, and focused on a safe next step for your pet.

Dr. Vinod Jayani, known to many clients as Dr. Patel, has cared for San Dimas-area pets since 1986. Licensed as a California veterinarian in 1983, he brings more than four decades of experience in general medicine, surgery, emergency practice, and community service. He is a lifetime member of the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), Southern California Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA), and American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). He is also USDA-accredited through the National Veterinary Accreditation Program and provides domestic and international health certificates. His work has included community rabies clinics, veterinary staff and student education, and mentorship at Arrow. At least ten former Arrow team members later became veterinarians, including Dr. Nathen Lewis. Dr. Patel has also supported local schools, youth organizations, and San Dimas community programs through volunteer time and donations.
Dr. Nathen Lewis grew up in the local community and originally joined Arrow Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant in 2019. He later worked alongside Dr. Patel as a veterinary assistant before beginning veterinary school. Dr. Lewis earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona in 2026. He previously volunteered with Planet Rehab Animal Sanctuary in San Dimas and is proud to begin his veterinary career in the community where he grew up.
